Education: Mr. Tom received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan.

Experience: Mr. Tom has over 35 years experience in the construction industry on a vast array of project types including hotels, office and commercial buildings, sports complexes, warehouses and industrial buildings, medical facilities and parking structures. Mr. Tom’s international experience includes the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club in Hong Kong, China.

Mr. Tom’s expertise in project estimating is extensive. As a senior estimator for Dick Pacific Construction and Hawaiian Dredging & Construction Company in Honolulu, some of the projects he provided estimating services include the following major projects:

• 1164 Bishop Street Office Building
• Ala Moana Pacific Center
• Castle Medical Center Physician’s Office Building
• Central Oahu Regional Park
• Westin Maui & Westin Kauai Hotels
• Hale Koa Hotel Renovations
• Hilton Waikoloa Village (previously Hyatt Regency Waikoloa)
• Ala Moana Shopping Center Renovations

As a project manager with WKH Corporation in Honolulu he provided construction management and project engineering services on the following projects:

• 3660 on the Rise restaurant
• The Waialae Building
• Weinberg Residence in Kahala
• Maunalua Bay Club

In the early 1970’s Mr. Tom worked as a structural engineer with T. Y. Lin, Hawaii in Honolulu.

Mr. Tom is a veteran having served with the U. S. Army – Corp of Engineers, Pacific Ocean Division.

Mr. Tom is a licensed contractor in the State of Hawaii (ABC-14746) and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Hawaii (PE-3661)
